Ooh, cool. I didn't even know this thread was a thing on MLW.
Umm... I guess I'll share a few neat facts, but I tend to keep details to private conversations, if not my AMA. Not in any particular order or anything, just random stuff I think of that's relevant to Equestria or the world which includes Equestria whenever I think of it.
*Ahem*.
The whole world's alive, not unlike my other 'wonderland.' Unlike my other 'wonderland,' however, I am consciously writing in little details here or there. Mostly to rectify inconsistencies, and mostly on the individual level, but nevertheless, Equestria can be considered kind of my playground, whereas my other was unconsciously generated in its content. Since this is about the 'world,' I'll try to stay away from individual details, but I don't know everything about it, so... moving on.
Equestria isn't as kind a place, I've found, as my home in my other 'wonderland.' It's still a mostly lovely place in terms of the feeling of the general population, but not quite as much.
Spike's a blue dragon, not purple. His eyes are golden. He also stands taller, looks fiercer (although perhaps that could be considered simply a part of the more realistic way I see my 'wonderland'), has a significantly deeper and more mature voice, and can wield magic. He still has that weird thing for mares, though.
Twilight's a metalhead.
On an unrelated, but still awesome note, I've seen her utterly flatten some solid matter, like wood, into sheets as thin as paper.
Magic is a lot like blood. It courses through all things, and gives life, but can just as easily spread destruction. Not in the same manner as blood, but I saw a few connections there, which I thought was interesting.
There's a subspecies of equine that's not exactly intelligent like its kin. Bicorns roam wildly, and because of their inability to properly channel magic, they often spontaneously combust when panicked. I have no idea where they came from and how they haven't all died out yet, but the mere idea of their existence is humorous to me. They're kind of the 'fey drake of ponykind,' only they make no sense.
Our common spiders can be slightly larger than a large human's fist. Still not as big as my other wonderland, though; they have common spiders the size of household dogs. Which thankfully are native to the southern rainforests and are nowhere near my old house. They also screech.
Tartarus was originally constructed to imprison an Old One.
There is no time in outer space. The time on the planet's surface comes from a swirling maelstrom of chronomantic magic deep beneath the eastern sea, where the only sea ponies in existence reside, surrounded by a vast, barren desert that has existed for eternity. Barely any surface-dwellers are even aware of their existence, though their magic, from the secretive and relatively small corner of the world they inhabit, rules all life.
On a sort of related note, chronomantic squid can be found all over the world, provided you're attuned to time itself somehow.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are of Atlantean heritage, from which all other equine races evolved, save sea ponies. No one knows where they came from. The Atlanteans were all alicorns.
The gem Princess Celestia wore in her armor was a shard of a special sea pony artifact gifted to her long ago. It was given to us - Twilight and I - to assist Twilight in further developing her magical power.
Magic widely used and first discovered by zebras is the only transformative magic known to exist.
On a sort of related note, glyphs are really fucking hard to draw.
Changelings eat magic, not love. There are emotion-related spells, but changelings aren't limited to those. They can survive in harsh environments, not unlike bugs. They also tend to be more territorial than invasive. Also, they're not exactly intelligent. They know how to replicate emotion or even language, for they are masters of deception by nature, but they feel less and act more on instinct.
The only ponies not under the Sisters' jurisdiction are some pegasi, who live very, very, very far to the west of Equestria, or the crystal ponies, to the north... but they're not exactly ponies anymore.
Princess Cadance's crown is an heirloom known now as the Crown of Winter, which played a monumental role in the creation of the frozen wasteland that still howls with bone-chilling wind even today between Equestria and the Crystal Empire, wherein her father perished.
There are no alternate dimensions anyone knows of. That means the mirror to Canterlot High doesn't exist, just like several other canonical characters or things. The closest thing to another dimension anyone could go would be the past or the future. Due to the nature of time travel there, it's impossible to cause a paradox.
Breezies are a thing. I don't remember what they did in the show, but then again, I have no idea what they do in my dreams, so I suppose it doesn't matter.
The planet's called Earth. Its years are the same as Earth's. Nothing different there.
Vampires, werewolves, and other creatures of the night are a thing. They stem all the way back to Princess Luna's betrayal.
The dead walk in the Everfree Forest.
Pegasus wings are much larger than they appear in the show. Gryphons and alicorns also have larger wings, but alicorns are much weaker flyers.
I'm gonna stop here, since I've said plenty already and I've got other stuff to do. There's naturally more to everything, but I'm not going into details here.
