What Does Love Feel Like for You?
#1
I was reading StaticPinks's latest post in his thread about his relationship with Pinkie Pie, and I found it fascinating to read his description...not least because many of the details seemed to differ from my own experience of the feeling I know as "love."

Therefore, believing it to be a worthy line of inquiry for the forum, I put to you all this question: how would you describe how love feels?

I want to say pain. And I don't mean BDSM stuff.
Soul of the mind, key to life's ether. Soul of the lost, withdrawn from its vessel. Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended. So the world might be mended.

Didn't expect anybody to reference me on my ramblings, but I feel honoured Tongue

Thought I throw in my two cents as well even if im not so well versed in love. I believe its the deep, intense burning in your chest when you think about them, and a true desire to be the only one for them, and would do anything for them. Its a certain desire that can only be shared by two people who truly care for each other. More than anything, it can only be a mutual feeling of both compassion and understanding that completes the other to no fault.

Thats what I think true love is, which is something I believe is what I share with Pinkie, and I believe she feels the same, even if I cant prove it at the moment.

Those were my thoughts exactly. The feeling of loving and being loved is the most painful feeling I know. It scares me, it tears me up inside, and yet before its power I feel helpless to do anything but give in to it. What is one to do, when surrender is such sweet agony?

A deep, passionate connection. In a way, it has enlightened me and made me become a better person. It's totally unique, and I know I am never alone anymore.

I often feel as though we have altered the very world around me.

Feeling safe when you're at your most vulnerable. Feeling strong and weak at the same time. Feeling as though everything will be okay simply because she says it will. Feeling as though nothing exists beyond just the two of you; if only for a moment. Feeling as though you belong and could spend the rest of your life in her embrace.

you know that thing you feel? like it's kinda Unsure Sweetie but also Starry-Eyed Rarity and i don't mean just 'romantic' love love you feel for your friends, pets, anyone really, see love is like, stubbing your toe and getting an ice cream cone not only that, it like anything else worth doing or experiencing takes work, how long did it take for your pal to know he can call you whenever? how long did it take for your dog to let you into his personal space he'd usually growl at you or a stranger for accidentally stepping near my point is love is a thing that sometimes you don't really know if you're feeling it but when you do, it's pretty sweet
i'm an actual camwhore
i'll cam for you, it'll be our secret

Knowing that no matter what, the Lover will have your back, through hell and back, through both good and bad times. I know I can rely on Spits if I have to, and she can rely on me if she needs me.

Another thing is being close, not only emotionally, but also physically. By this, I mean cuddling, snuggling, kissing, and to some people, sex.

And finally, knowing that the two of you are a puzzle, one not complete without the other. Without your lover, your not the same person. That person completes who you are, whether that completion is mental or emotional, and maybe even both, depends on the person themselves.
--------------
Love is bittersweet, sometimes you have to carry on knowing you're partner won't be with you much longer, what's important is that you stay strong for them
