I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who's never played D&D and knows absolutely nothing about Warhammer.

We have a discord. We have a forum. We have numerous random number generators on the web. We can can fix that, if you want to.

Pardon my ignorance but I don't see how since both are tabletop games, correct?

I believe there are ways to play online, especially through chats and such, with random number generators acting as dice. At least with DND. Don't know about Warhammer. But if you're really curious about that, you can check out the Dawn of War games if you want. But if you're not, I'd say don't go out of your way.

I don't know anything about DnD either lol.

I often hear people say that https://roll20.net is a quite good site to play DnD online, but of course it's a different experience than in person

They have it right. We can make a thread or a room on discord for game use in lieu of getting together in a room, and use the number generators as dice. It can be fun, but it isn't the same experience as getting together on a Friday night, ordering pizza, and staying up to ungodly hours making characters, and running them through an adventure. There's just something about rolling actual dice.

The last time I got to play with anybody was in D&D 3rd edition, it's currently 5th, so it's been a while, but D&D is kind of a crappy system, anyway. It's got brand recognition, and that's about it. However, if you or ValieShy would like to give it a try, maybe we can organize a WC game? Anybody else on the site who wants to play can join in, and someone who wants to DM, which I can do if nobody else does, can start writing a campaign, and give you a little taste.

Or not. It is very time consuming. And if you want WH40K, I know nothing about it's gameplay, only the lore, so we'd need somebody else to run that game.

I'll better not continue this comment chain

I don't know about DnD having a crappy system, our DM has a bit experience in other tabletop games, and he thinks that at least the 5th edition is pretty good in comparison to other games

Now, I'm having my doubts if the game would work if played like that when I think about it. If your main way of communicating is writing, that would just drag it along endlessly, also it'd be more difficult to explain the rules, and the way of playing in general.

Well.. I might as well be the guy to throw it out there, we could always all get on voice and do it.

Anyway just in general if there is a way for us all to do it online I'm game.
