Nichijou. It's hilarious and unpredictable for a slice of life anime. Very pleasant and cute, and for the most part, the pacing's so good and gives a comfortable experience.

Something else that I enjoy normally watching with her is King of the Hill.

I just started watching the first season of House, M. D., and while the more bloody scenes make me squirm a little, it looks like it's going to be a really interesting show.

I also started New Girl! I freaking love it so far, although I've only just finished season one. It's hilarious, and Zooey Deschanel is brilliant in it! Twilight Smile

Somebody got us started on Breaking Bad. Twilers and I have only just finished s1, but so far it deserves all the praise it's supposed to have received.

Both great shows, been awhile since I watched Breaking Bad.

*Sigh*

Anyway, I finally decided to take a chance and I'm officially giving anime another shot, since I think I've managed to overcome my hangups regarding the art style. So I ordered the first couple of episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Namely because: Hideaki Anno wrote and co-directed Shin Godzilla, and well, we all know how much I adore that movie. It made me curious.

I'll give my thoughts when I get around to watching it. Trying new stuff here.

Would this be the old one, or the newer version?

Old. Best to start with the original and work my way up from there, I think.

The mid-season finale of Gotham was awful, and I mean that in an emotional sense, it was quite good, easily the best show I'm watching on TV. Poor Penguin. I can't believe I now have to wait until April for the next episode, and here I am waiting to watch it for completely different reasons than everyone else apparently.

Well, finally watched the first two episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion and it's safe to say I already like it a lot, the first few minutes in I could easily sense overtures of Shin Godzilla (I know NGE came first but I personally saw Shin first). I heard it gets more and more fucked up as it goes along, so I'm looking forward to that too. Psychological torment fascinates me.

You might like it, then. The things those children have gone through, and will go through...and the ending is, I don't even know what the ending is. I saw it, and I saw the 2 movies that came out after, but even so. Maybe Kadae, or one of the other more dedicated anime fans can explain it, because I saw it years ago, and am still not sure I understand it.

I'm interested to hear your opinions of the characters as the series progresses. Would you be kind enough to keep us updated?
