I shifted within the warm and familiar softness of the bed, my hands clenching the fluffy fabric of the heavy blanket and pulling it closer around my body. Despite my attempt to sink back into a state of complete unconsciousness my brain was telling me that someone was touching me. The unmistakable sensation of a hand stroking my jawline softly caused my sense of awareness to float back to the surface. When a finger started playing with my exposed ear is when I finally opted to open my eyes.
Esdeath smiled down at me, propped up against the pillows neatly arranged at the black headboard. A book (likely on hunting or torture...or both) half closed over the thumb of her right hand to mark her place. Her long, bare legs stretched out leisurely, shirt and hair mussed up from sleep but the clarity in her ice blue eyes told me she'd been awake for some time now.
"Alright, I'm awake," I grunted out, pushing myself upwards and into a sitting position. The lamp light made me squint while eyes adjusted properly. I cocked a brow when it dawned on me I had more available space than usual.
"Where's Nightmare?"
"Oh, she should be back this evening. Don't worry," Esdeath soothed.
Again, I felt a brow raise but overall felt that prying would yield no results; so I carefully eased my body over her legs to effectively carry myself out of bed. Grabbing myself some fresh clothing I then proceeded to make my way over to the bathroom for a shower. As soon I as entered the relatively small, titled bathroom the door suddenly shut behind me and the light flicked on. I jolted slightly at seeing Esdeath reflected with me in the mirror, her eyes glinting playfully and her hands innocently clasped behind her back.
"What the hell are doing?" I asked, feeling my heart rate beginning to return to its normal pace.
"You're not as observant after awakening." Esdeath noted, glossing over my question entirely with a smirk.
I set my clothes on the space near the sink, fixing her with a stare, but that just made her smirk grow bigger. I was annoyed, or even angry. Startled initially, but now starting to feel shyness wash over me and I mentally wrestled with it. At the very least to keep from blushing.
"What are doing here?" I asked, softer this time.
"I need to shower as well," she responded, shrugging. "Better to use all the hot water together instead of waiting right?" She returned my stare with a half lidded one.
"I didn't think you were becoming environmentally conscious, Esdeath!" I teased, adding a dramatic flare to my voice at my jest for full effect. She rolled her eyes, responding by removing the large, plain white shirt she wore. Exposing her full, voluptuous breasts, the familiar tattoo just above them. Rising and falling softly with each breathe she took. Her white panties swiftly followed her shirt to the floor.
Smiling coyly and feeling very pleased with herself, she closed the distance between us. Cupping my chin and tilting my face up to look her in the eye, her own gleaming lovingly.
"I'm going to need someone to wash my back. Oh, and you're blushing," Esdeath concluded by proceeding past me, chuckling sultrily. I got a brief glimpse of my beet red face in the large mirror, my eyes trailing after her just quick enough to get a quick peek of shapely legs and ass as she turned the shower head on.
"Be sure to undress first," she laughed when I started to walk towards the tub. Her own long, flowing blue hair already soaked by the rushing water, lovely strands clung to her forehead.
"Hey, I did just wake up. My mind is still hazy."
----
Nightmare Rarity paid for the assorted fabrics with a neat little bag of golden bits, horn encased by an aura of twinkling sapphire. She gathered the bags and headed out of the small but pricey shop, the little bell jingling once as she opened the door and once again as it closed behind her.
Brushing a lock of purple hair from her beautiful face, her lips pulled upward in a beaming smile. Her tongue wet them deliberately. Her eyes carefully scanned over the fabrics in the left bag, drinking in the vivid color and mind dancing with even more vivid and oh so pleasing images.
"I'll have them done in no time at all," Nightmare mentally stated, sweeping tail swishing behind her once. Shadow dancing free from the gleaming hair for several seconds as she quietly walked to her next destination. "Now let's hope the good general can keep him occupied. Shouldn't be much of an issue there."
She grinned playfully at another thought that popped into her mind. "Though I do hope she doesn't exhaust him before the day is up."
----
Sinking comfortably into the couch cushions, a glance at the ticking clock told me we'd been in the shower longer than I'd estimated. Not that I was complaining. Neither was Esdeath, who was practically glowing as she sat down beside me, I felt much the same. She wore a midnight blue long sleeve shirt that opened just at the shoulders, a matching skirt that stopped just above her knees.
"Do you know when Nightmare will be back?" I inquired, smiling at her and gently running my fingers through her silky hair. It was just a tad damp, but still soft as it always was.
"Sometime this evening," Esdeath replied smoothly. She took on a concerned expression when she saw my brow crease at her words. Leaning back into the welcoming leather of the couch my eyes flitted around the room, the pitch gray that hung over the windows fluttered restlessly from the breeze of a ceiling fan. The clock's constant tick-ticking away somehow seemed further away.
"She's not upset with me, is she?" My voice was even, I knew the chances were slim. In the near four year time span Nightmare Rarity and I had been together she had hardly ever been angry with me and vice versa. We knew each other so intimately there was no practical need for anger a vast majority of the time. But still I found it better to ask outright.
"No, Michael, she isn't." Esdeath assured with absolution. "She and I planned this very carefully. She wanted me to have you for much of the morning and afternoon, the evening is hers. It was her wish that you and I be able to enjoy our first Valentine's together."
Her hand reached out to caress my face reassuringly, instead I opted to tenderly clasp it between my own. My hands were bigger than hers. The warmth sent a exhilarating rush up the length or my arms almost causing me to shudder pleasurably as my nerves sang the sensation of touching her to my brain. I couldn't help but smile, wondering what Nightmare had in store.
"Now, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling quite hungry at the moment." She guided me up by the hand I held, softly squeezing mine with her fingers. "I know you must be," she added with a coy grin at fond remembrance of showering together. I felt my the corner of my lips being tugged at by the urge to smile too.
"That was...something," I trailed off, almost dreamily.
Esdeath chuckled at my sudden absence of words, finding it charmingly endearing as she guided me to the kitchen.
----
Nightmare Rarity's eyes scanned her completed work, ever so satisfied with herself. Her sharp gaze trailed over every little detail, like a hawk searching hungrily for a little field mouse to snatch up.
There were no imperfections. She knew there wouldn't be any. But still, it did not hurt to thoroughly check. Breathing out calmly she shifted her head, mane swishing gently with the movement, to look towards the window. The sun was gradually sinking, lazily it seemed. The glow less vibrant, shadows cast and scattered about the ground and trailing up walls like ethereal caricatures. Nightmare's sharp teeth gleamed in the orange rays as she bore an excited smile.
"Won't be long now, my dear."
----
It'd been a long, but enjoyable afternoon with Esdeath as we arrived home. My dazzling general seemed even cheerier upon arriving home, she giggled to herself. I glanced over at her, flipping on the light switch and then peered over at the clock. Just into the evening, a tad before sundown.
I looked around, only to find Nightmare Rarity was still absent. I felt a sting at my heart at not seeing her, my mind inevitably preparing to begin fretting away at where she was. I hadn't seen her all day. Where was she?
I was brought back into the moment when I registered Esdeath softly hugging me from behind. Arms slipping around my waist and my back pressing against her wonderfully soft chest, nuzzling my neck, lips close to my throat.
"Check the bedroom." It was not a question, but a statement.
She released me from her grasp, my eyes involuntarily widening. Esdeath smirked, gesturing with a wave of her hands to go.
"A-are you coming?"
Esdeath through back her head and let out a melodious laugh. "Naughty boy," she teased. To my credit I didn't blush. "This you and Nightmare's time now, remember?"
She closed the distance between us swiftly, lightly cupping my chin with her finger tips and planting a firm but passionately loving kiss on my lips. A quiet, muffled moan emanated from her. Her wonderful lips withdrew from mine and she eased me towards the bedroom with an easy push.
"Now go. She's waiting for you."
I nodded once. The house wasn't particular big so only a few short steps took me to the plain, closed bedroom door. My heart beat away steadily, the tips of my fingers brushing the knob. The metal was cool to my skin, which I somehow felt was growing warmer in anticipation. If Nightmare had been preparing all day for this I knew I was in for something deeply special. Intimate as our soulful bond.
Fearlessly I twisted the knob, a crackle of invisible energy filled me from head to foot like a generator thrumming to activation. Reinvigorated as I entered the sanctum I was greeted by the sensual flicker of purple and blue candlelight. The flames glimmering invitingly, the atmosphere thick with the passion that was moments from ensuing. Candles dotted the areas where the nightstand, the dresser, the desk would normally be. Carefully. With placement that oozed thoughtful intimacy and planning. In the darkness they appeared to hover in place.
The entire room was akin to the night sky itself. Through my love's extraordinary power she had veiled the entire room in comforting blackness. The black canvas covered in stars, the occasional comet would race by. On the wall to the ceiling, even across the floor I'd see one soar by, freer than any avian in our sky.
In the center was our bed, and on it was Nightmare Rarity. My breath left me in great, awe inspired puff of air as my eyes feasted upon her. Stretched out, long legs sheathed in deep red gartered stockings. Enticingly shifting her tail to reveal her toned rear hidden by a pair of equally red, lacy panties that fit snugly to her perfect ass. To such an extent that even in the shadows my eyes could detect the outline of her most private and sacred area.
Wordlessly, she beckoned me over to her with a slow pull of her hoof, with an irresistible pull that put magnetism to utter and complete shame. Her teeth gleamed in a seductive smile that my heart swell with love.
I descended upon on her, strong legs greeted me in their embrace as she chuckled.
"I can see my planning has paid off."
"Very much so," I murmured, softly moaning as she purposefully shifted against me to plunge me deeper into excitement. My hands gripping her shoulders, relishing the softness of black fur.
"Happy Valentine's Day, my love."
I embraced the night, and she accepted me in serene, beautiful completion.
