A Plea for Help in Proving Sweets' Identity

Sweets and I are reaching out to the forum for help. My mother wants me to cut out all contact with him because she's afraid he's a scam artist. He and I are trying to make one last ditch effort to prove that he is who he says he is.

If you feel you know Sweets enough to vouch for his identity and wouldn't mind speaking briefly to my parents, we both plead for your aid. If you could speak a few words, perhaps saying who you are and that Sweets is who he says he is, we may be able to convince her. It's a great deal to ask, but it may be our only hope. What if you both video chat?
Doubt she'd be able to disprove that, if she hears his voice, and sees his mouth moving along with the words he's saying.

Or just ask her why she thinks that he would have the time or inclination to deceive somebody for so long, when he gets nothing out of it. Might shut her down pretty quick with that.
