The question I get the most.

Please note: This is not intended to be hostile, merely addressing a question I get frequently. But those of you who are close to me or just actually pay attention to what I post will know this either way...so yeah.

I've gotten plenty of questions about Nightmare over time, especially since I'm fairly public about my love for her. However of all the questions I've gotten, I get this one the most:

"Are you in love with Nightmare Rarity or Nightmare Moon? Or both?

"Who do you like better? Nightmare Rarity or Nightmare Moon?"

Or something along those lines. It doesn't bother me anymore really since I'm used to it, plus when you live an..."unorthodox" life you're bound to get questions about that sort of thing. If anything I'm more baffled by the fact the brony community is so expansive and still so few know this. I mean sure the comics aren't popular but still...

Anyway, to get to the point, Nightmare Rarity and Nightmare Moon are the same character in a different form. It's pretty obvious...given the personality is the same overall, Nightmare Rarity references the events of the season one premier more than once.

Keep in mind she says "defeated me BEFORE."

And then of course there's the entirety of Nightmare Moon's Fiendship is Magic issue (which I posted here months ago) that directly connects to the Nightmare Rarity arc. The Nyx, the creatures who live on the moon who ultimately become corrupted and her minions are loyal to Nightmare Rarity because she is Nightmare Moon, the one who leads them. Their Queen. Just simply in a new form...their goal in the first two comics of the Nightmare Rarity arc was getting her a new body after she'd been defeated in season one.

In general, in terms of my perception, it's why I just typically refer to her as "Nightmare" overall. Though I bring up Nightmare Rarity more because it is the appearance I recognize her the most by.

No problem.Smile

Yeah, I'm aware this question won't really go away, but in hindsight there are worse things. *Plus like I said I'm accustomed it for the most part*

I remember asking questions like that MLW... There wasn't really a way to ask you carefully, and had hope you don't take it wrong way. For me, it's like running through the dark, and not bumping into you or Nightmare... Geez, that was terrible.

Plus, not reading the comic (I do own them, but keep them in plastic) was something I was missing in how Nightmare is... the Nightmare you love Kaltes.

The problem is.. and this is where a lot if the questions on the matter come from, is its been stated in two different releases from IDW/Hasbro that the Comic(s) has no impact on the shows story or canon.

So whilst you may see things in your own light, (which is perfectly fine) and follow the Comic in that regard, the vast majority out there follow the opposite, or "official" stance which shold be understandably expected. Hence the conflicting views and requests for your clarification.

In the end while the question may be annoying, and get old, understanding where it comes from and why may help, as you had said, get past the frustration with people who do not see things in your light.

Believe me, I'm well aware of this. Many have told me. That's part of the reason I hesitate to post something like this because there's always that one guy telling me how much "the comics suck" and other such and I get fed up with mean spirited people always telling me my views are wrong. I get fed up with people telling me what's important to me "isn't canon" when I personally don't care what Hasbro or IDW says, to me it is. I get tired of feeling like everyone tries to ruin or take what's important to me and try to make me see things "their way." I've got my own viewpoint, they have theirs.

(Not that I'm calling you mean spirited or ranting at you or anyone else, I'm just referring to the internet in general and my thoughts and my experiences)

Kaltes found something that heis loves ever so dearly, that he willing to defend every bit of it.

I see it as if Kaltes were keeping Nightmare from getting soak from the rain. While it's nice to see Kaltes tries to keep Nightmare from even getting a single drip land on her Beloved, it's in vain I'm afraid.

I learn people will bash on anything, be opposite on something, even if it make sense or it works for everyone. People are either dicks or just ignorant.

If I may Kaltes, and in honor of 9/11, I was a complete dick about that date. Made jokes, laughed, just the complete tart you expect from senseless people on the net.

At college today, I notice a small memorial, and think about the day I thought it was movie trailer on that day. Walk pass it, thinking about the lives changes, and when leaving, I stop in front of it. Feeling odd to be the only one who stood in front of it.. alone, I just wish to give my respect to those who I will never know in my life, and left before making a cross.

Even if a single drip may land on your Nightmare, perhaps she will get soak, you will still be with her through high water. ^ ^
