Favourite video game theme songs?
#1
A lot of people I have talked to have had their fair share of favourite video game themes.
I thought, why not open a thread where we can share our favourites?

This is my favourite
Especially with all the nostalgia it brings back.

"Many moons have passed since the worms went to war.
Onwards and upwards, bigger weapons than before.
Boggy B took cover, he shivered on patrol.
The arms race crazy, simply way out of control.

Then his friend threw it, the latest device.
Boggy B went and got it, against all advice - "What the...?"
His tail was split, and his energy lost.
How many more will this dreaded war cost?

Then came the nuke, and the disease tumbling down.
If the bug didn't get to you, you'd probably drown.
But the worms battled on, through hunger and pain.
Living to fight, just to victor again.

And now it's the curtain call, the final onslaught,
no better bullet could you possibly have bought.
But spare a thought for Boggy and with it his friend.
So fight with their honour, and fight until the end.
"

I think I'll post more of my favourites soon.

I gotta say of all the video game music out there, this particular one resonated with me the most.

"Free yourself from suffering and despair, and you will be victorious. Do this for others, and you will be a hero."

Its soundtrack is one of the reasons Mega Man III is still my fave Mega Man game.

I love the western style if music from Red Dead Redemption, this has to be my favorite, it plays normally when you get into a good gunfight. And I love it

Love is bittersweet, sometimes you have to carry on knowing you're partner won't be with you much longer, what's important is that you stay strong for them

Are we talking soundtracks or theme songs? If it's theme songs, I think it's no question that it has to be this:

I've felt from time to time this feeling of overwhelming fate and pure conviction. This song calls those times to mind for me.

One of those games where, while not bad, was easily outshone by its soundtrack.

Another one I feel I HAVE to mention. The first video game theme that ever touched me deep in my heart.

On the heels of Gentleman's Final Fantasy post:

I'm not a huge FF fan, but IV is in my top three favorite numbered FF titles. Soundtrack is great, throughout.

Terra's theme (essentially the game theme, so far as I see it) from my favorite FF title:
