You run into that kind of thing pretty often. I remember being in a chat where someone asked if anyone else liked "Gorillaz." I responded and named several of their songs. Which led them to admit that they'd only really heard and liked "Feel Good Inc."

Oh, and my brother's liked / been familiar with Daft Punk for years.
