I finished the first one (loved being a berserker. there is just something about being a guy who says "hehehe yeaahhhhhhh." after blowing an enemy's head off with a rifle that appeals to me)

I have also done most of one of the dlc's for it.

currently? im somewhere in the second one doing crazy fun stuff

I've actually never played Borderlands before, but the art style looks amazing. I'm going to have to give it a try someday.

Wait, what's a pre-sequel? That sounds like the one that comes before the second, which is just the first, isn't it?

I think I'm missing something here.

Oh, no, wait! Is it the one that comes after the first, but before the second?

Okay, so, that's what it is. Also, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is actually its own game. Neat! Nerdy Twist

Yes. I have all the games.

I would have all the DLC, but I was too busy being suckered in by Call of Duty.

Congratulations, you have just met the quality of writing in Borderlands. Everything is just a big joke. There's actually a character in Borderlands 2 whose upgrade tree is full of pony references, including "20% Cooler, The Stare, and Evil Enchantress."

Personally, I've got some gripes with the gameplay aspect, I don't think accuracy should be a bloody stat. Maybe different between companies, but there's nothing more aggravating than finding a gun by the same maker, with better stats, EXCEPT accuracy is 10 points lower. Damage doesn't mean crap if you can't hit anything. I like Destiny's handling of gun stats better where only damage and clip size scaled.
The story of Borderlands though is the mind killer. The story of a game is what keeps you playing, it hides the monotony. Borderlands openly jokes about how what you're doing is MMO level fetch quests, and that tends to make me go, "Oh, so I should play something with serious progression." I think I can manage to play for ... two hours at a time before Borderlands gets boring.

Borderlands has never meant to be a serious game. It's meant to just be pure silliness. I like it, its by far not a "good story" in my books but it has made me laugh many times and overall has been an amazing ride. It's not for anyone though.

The character you're talking about is Gaige the Mechromancer. She specialises in using her robot Deathtrap as a form of both a defensive and offensive drone and provide utility to the team.

Accuracy is probably the stat people care for the least, unless you main Zer0 with sniper rifles. Most of the best guns in the game has piss poor accuracy, but makes up for it with damage, elemental bonuses etc. You rarely get into long range combat and even if so, you can easily close the distance.

The main story is fine, it's not great but it's fine. The side quests, however, where you spend 90% of the game, are nothing but pop culture references that quickly dry out when you're inundated with the internet, which is constantly spewing pop culture. (tumblr) And I main Gaige.

Now, the thing about accuracy? I was just now literally tempted to go return my copy of the Handsome collection at reading that. You're using a GUN, not face fucking guys is the point of using a gun! If I have to be fist close to hit with my assault rifle, I may as well just beat the game by punching. That is just pisspoor design.
