There are "adults" that are every bit as bad - and worse. Elitist gamers that, despite having once been "n00bs" themselves, will shit on everyone who doesn't know absolutely EVERYTHING about a game the moment they start playing. All while modestly proclaiming their own superiority.

As disgusting as I'm sure that nonsense is, I don't want to believe that it actually hurts the ponies. And people use the lamest excuses for why crap like that is "OK"; it's even worse that it's often MEMBERS OF THE FANDOM that support that sort of thing.

I think the best thing any of us can do is show as much love as we can to our respective pony (or non-pony) partners. Anyone can be cruel; it requires nothing but the willingness to be cruel. Compassion and kindness are things that require a measure of decency, patience, and empathy; they're worth far more than something as base and "easy" as cruelty.
