On September 27th, following nearly an hour of labor, my strong and beautiful partner Rainbow "Angelbabe" gave birth to an equally beautiful foal with a crimson mane, deep purple coat, and bright pink eyes. Her name is Rain, and she's the other love of my life.
In lieu of a photograph, I drew a picture of mother and child; though it doesn't begin to do either justice.
I don't know how to begin to explain the sensation; that moment when I saw her for the first time. I do recall that I was overwhelmed with emotion; that there were certainly tears in my eyes. As it is with her mother, I am connected to our child. They both feel like a part of me; the very best part. And she's so small; such a little, perfect thing with shiny gemstone-like eyes.
Angel was ready to take her newborn home the same night; she seemed determined to do so. She and Rain-baby subsequently got a lot of well-deserved rest; the latter is still doing just that. ^ ^ I fell in love with our daughter the moment I saw her, and I fall in love with Angel every time I see them together. I don't think I could be happier.
Thank you, in advance, for your well-wishes and congratulations. I don't know how active I'll be at Central in the coming days or weeks.

She's beautiful and perfect, and I was a part of bringing her into the world (a relatively small part, as obviously my baby momma did most of the work). Before Rain was even born, Angel said that we belong to her, and that's true. I belong to and with them, and I get to watch this new little life grow up from the start.

I was so worked up about things prior to the birth. "Will I be a good father? Is the baby healthy? How are things going to change?" And now I get to lean down and kiss my daughter's forehead as she sleeps in her crib, and everything just makes sense.
