S1E11: Winter Wrap Up

Still the usual comments, good song, Rarity still has a different magical aura, and it's definitely noticeable how few background ponies they had then compared to now.

S1E11, Winter Wrap Up, considered an absolute classic in the series. Of course, the song is unforgettable, and I do like the earlier on lessons of Twilight learning things about the culture of Ponyville and how things are done. And I do like the more obsessive side of Rarity shown, showing one of her flaws that I can relate to, focusing too much on the little things. Something about that I find sweet. I don't know too much else to say about this episode, I mean it's good, but being considered such a classic it's been talked about a lot already, and I don't have a lot else to add.

Though I do question how it's going to be Fall in 2 episodes.

I have quite a bit to catch up on... I think at this point I'll save all the stuff I missed for the big S1 recap, and then go on from there.

S1E23: Cutie Mark Chronicles
I think this is one of the best in the series, for showing that the Mane 6 will always be connected, I think it's a really special meaning. And being a good episode with most of everyone involved, the Mane 6 and the CMC, I think it's just a very important episode.

S1E24: Owl's Well That Ends Well

Owlicious is a nice pet. I think this is honestly just one of the better Spike episodes, he's just a bit more entertaining, and maybe not as much as a bumbling person he's usually is. All in all, it was cute and simple. All that's well ends well.

S1E25: Party of One

Another definite classic, and I think just a really good look at Pinkie Pie, and how caring she is for others, while at the same time, showing off that feeling of insecurity anyone can get, and most importantly, always trust your friends.

S1E26: Best Night Ever

Still, I think this is the best finale the show's had, I feel like it does the best job of tying up elements in the season, without resorting to overblown DBZ stuff, or needing an over the top villain. I think it also was good in involving everyone, doing a much better job at giving all the cast members a good size role, despite being half the length of all the other finales. And it still has a good lesson.

S1 I still think was a good foundation for the show. Not the best season, it had quite a number of animation errors for sure, really noticeable early on especially, but I think it set the foundation it needed. There was also quite a bit more adventuring aspects I notice, as well as more of a group effort in things, something which I find to be noticeably lacking in recent stuff at times.

S2E1 and E2: Return of Harmony

Pretty good season opener, I feel like those struggle a bit sometimes and this had a good share of action for everyone I felt, and at least they get rewarded for it in the end, which i noticed doesn't happen a lot come to think of it. And of course Discord works better as a villain for sure. That's all I really have to say for now.
