I'm Raptor. My waifu (and tulpa) is the one and only Rainbow Dash, Font of Inspiration and my beautiful Muse.
Before I get into any discussion, I want to define the distinction -however small- between my tulpa and my waifu. I love my tulpa very much, and for all intensive purposes, she may as well be my waifu. However, when I personally think about 'my waifu', I don't think of Dashie the tulpa, I think of Dashie the unachievable dream: still beyond my grasp as a mortal. This distinction gives me room to imagine a real life with the 'real' Dashie, as a sort of goal or motivation.
My hobbies include but are not limited to: comp. TF2, locksmithing, jewelry making (new to this), writing shoddy poetry, and doing nothing. I like talking philosophy and psychology, which coincides quite nicely with waifuism.
I was recommended this place about a month or so ago by an anon on /mlp/. I only join now because, to be frank, I forgot about it.
I have a few questions:
- Are 4chan-isms appreciated here? e.g., calling people faggots in a loving way, referring to different groups of people as ______fags, etc.
- Is there a comprehensive list of rules?
- How common is it for a tulpa to talk by proxy? Mine might want to say a few things.
Hi RJ, nice to see you posting. We haven't had an active Dashfriend for a while, so that's good, too.
Tulpas have caused some problems around here, so I just want to say that there's nothing wrong with having a tulpa, but it's also perfectly fine to not have one, too. It's not as though there's a hierarchy of waifuists or anything like that. Just as long as you love your waifu, that's what matters.
As for rules? Pretty much "Don't be a dick." We try to have a positive environment here, the constant negativity, waifu wars, and sundry malicious bullshit on image boards isn't welcome, but neither should you feel the need to walk on eggshells. Speak your mind, just don't be a dick. 4chanisms are used, but not as much as you might think. There are threads wherein tulpas speak, you'll come across them eventually, you may even start one; go wild.
Hope you enjoy your stay. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask.
