Something I just feel needs to be said in general, as there has been some mentions of it in posts on the board, and I've gotten a few messages from people in private about things.
Recently, quite a number of people have made mention about things along the lines of feeling left out because they aren't getting much responses, or they feel like no one is seeing what they are doing, notably with things like Journal entries, Q&As, things of that sort. And it's been brought up that it's making people feel unnoticed. Since this is something that, like I said has been brought up to me by quite a few, I feel like it's important to share this general sentiment. The community here definitely is built on relationships with others. Waifus, of course, but also wanting to be understood by others who feel the same. And that's absolutely natural. But, at the same time, if people just want a response and don't spread that same thing, well that's going to end up with many people feeling a bit down that they feel like they aren't noticed.
Here's the advice I offer: Just an underlying message of treating others the way you want to be treated. If you feel as if someone hasn't noticed something you put work in, the best thing to do is to speak to others, support them with what they have to say, so that they feel welcome, and in turn feel better about responding to other things. Because the truth is, there is a lot everyone is going through here, across the board, and you never know what even the smallest sentiment for someone else could do for them to change their day for the better, which would then mean they would want to do the same for others.
Now, it'd be absolutely ridiculous to attempt to force people to post more. It's so much worse to just fake a sentiment for no other reason then filling a quota. However, like I said, if there's anything you can find yourself able to do to extend just a little bit of attention to someone else, even if it's just something like "Thank you for sharing", there's no telling what that type of impact may have on their day. Just something to consider. All of you matter, all of you are noticed and everyone is happy to see you here and what you have to say. Sometimes, however, people may just need a bit of a reminder of that.
TL;DR - Treat others the way you want to be treated, we all love you here.
kthx
