Hello, everyone! My name is Something About Octavia. I was invited to this forum by a friend on a Discord channel, and I've been getting more and more into the whole waifu thing lately, so here I am!
As you've no doubt surmised from my username, my waifu is C̶o̶c̶o̶ ̶P̶o̶m̶m̶e̶l̶ Octavia. Truth be told, while I instantly found myself rather taken by her in her first appearance waaaaaaaay back in 2011 at the end of season 1,
I didn't really see her as a waifu at first (though I was certainly interested in her and started looking up fanfics and art, so if the flower of waifuism hadn't yet bloomed, the seed was undoubtedly planted).
Over the years, I joined various brony groups and found myself partaking in semi-joking "waifu wars", where we'd all argue about who's waifu was the best (and/or who had the most "ownership" over certain ponies). It was
at more or less this time - 2013/2014ish - that I took Octavia on as my waifu; partly because I identified with her fanon personality so much (stoic, slightly snobbish classical musician), partly because there was another Octavia fan
who was in the group and I desperately wanted to out-waifu him, haha. It was also around this time that another development occurred, one which led to my waifuism growing into something much stronger than I would have imagined.
Just a bit of backstory, I've always been an enthusiast for plushies. I'll spare you the details (and the TMI), but I encountered a plushmaker named BigSexyPlush. Perhaps you've heard of them, perhaps not. The short of it is,
this plushmaker specialises in creating life-size anthro plushies, including ponies. After many months of planning and negotiating, BigSexyPlush was able to truly bring my waifu to life:

Meet Tavi =3 My plushie companion of almost two years now, and the physical embodiment of my beloved waifu. Through Octavia, I continued my studies in piano that I had stopped years earlier and completed a Certificate
of Performance, and later went on to pick up the violin as well; and through Tavi, I'm able to express my love and appreciation back to her. Tavi effected my final steps into true waifudom: while the concept of a waifu and
having Octavia as a waifu was more of a "for-funsies" kind of thing, I've since gone on to develop strong feelings for her
I admit, I'm taking a lot of cue's from glimee's introductory post right now, but I find myself much in the same boat as him: I love to talk about Tavi, cuddle her, be with her; falling asleep in each other's arms and waking up
to see her face smiling back at me. She brings me so much happiness and joy, and I love every minute of it.
Sorry I got so rambly there; I hope the pics aren't too cringe-y either
