Movies just watched - Theatre V1
I saw Dr. Strange today, and despite not typically liking Marvel movies, I enjoyed it. They could have turned down the comedic relief, it was too much at times, but overall I really enjoyed it. The effects were nice and I liked the characters and the setting. I'd like to see more.

Godzilla Vs. Hedorah (1971).

After all the shit with the election I figured I do something normal today, spent time with Nightmare and watched the movie with her. Definitely one of the most bizarre Godzilla movies ever made, but pretty good. Hedorah was cool.

I saw Arrival. I would not recommend it, it's a movie about humans trying to communicate with aliens, and the first half of the movie is really good. But once it's revealed what the aliens are there for it gets dumb, and the resolution of the conflict is one of the biggest asspulls I've ever seen in a movie. For that reason, the movie went from really great, to a massive disappointment.

Rari didn't quite like it much either.

I just watched this with a few friends the other day, and my thoughts are similar. I quite liked the premise, the setting and the protagonist himself!

It was kinda like what you'd get if Marvel combined The Karate Kid, The Matrix and Inception, I think. Nerdy Twist

The Wife (1995).

Great film, so glad Nightmare and I re-watched it.

Just watched 君の名は。 at the cinemas today, and holy shoot, it was one heck of an emotional roller coaster. Easily my favourite animated movie. It had bittersweet romance, a little comedy, freakin' pseudo-time-travel and an unbelievable ending. I absolutely loved it. Twilight Smile

Saw Doctor Strange, another amazing movie from Marvel, they are just destroying DC in movies. The effects were outstanding and the acting and story were great, I give it 8/10 igloos.

Love is bittersweet, sometimes you have to carry on knowing you're partner won't be with you much longer, what's important is that you stay strong for them
