PSA Discord Chat Behavior
#1
Just a general remark, there's been a couple of complaints recently about some NSFW behavior leaking into the general chat, both in text and with some images. Just remember to keep NSFW where it belongs, this includes suggestive imagery. I'd say a rule of thumb is if you have to question whether or not it's good to post, move it over to the NSFW channel.

Thank you!

Well put. just to add my $0.02 if you're in a conversation with someone and things take a bit of a lewd turn please just continue it in the other channel. Then just as rares said if there's even the slightest question about whether something is NSFW then it probably is and it should be posted in the NSFW channel. That being said we understand that accidents do occur and if that happens we'll just simply ask you to remove/move what's in question.

Thanks guys!

We're all older than 18, it doesn't matter what happens in the chat anyways...

Everything get's buried by images and text anyways, so why does segregation matter.

even incredibly sensitive and personal problems... for example, tonight
It's complicated but I care about a lot of ponies...

you kind of posted it at a time where not that many people were online anyway, but I see that 2 guys went in on your question, so I'm not sure why you would think it got buried. It surely did not

What about if someone feels that something you posted isn't appropriate or safe for the chat, but you personally feel that it was fine? Would it be considered inappropriate because something thought it was?

Ask a staff member to sort it out. If someone's giving a problem about it, and you don't see where they're coming from or agree, and there's no staff member around, the best thing you can do is drop it and not engage in it further until someone is around and explain what happened.

It really shouldn't be such a big deal, or so damn difficult to understand; if it displays genitalia, sex acts, bodily functions or graphic descriptions of those it goes in NSFW. That's what I'm proposing , anyway, and that's how I'm going to rule it unless or until we have a consensus on an alternate definition. I'll open a thread in staff talk for that purpose, updates to follow.
