I would first like to open this up by saying this is by no means directed towards anyone in particular. This has been a common thing done by many people, and it's become a problem. Post deletion has become a problem as people deleting posts such as OPs also result in the deletion of other people's posts and their content. You may think it's something that only affects you, but it has effects on the entire site as it's such a small community. Also, most people who end up doing such deletions often end up regretting it later, and there's nothing that could be done to undo it. And as I said, it deletes others posts as well if it's in an OP, causing this act to be a bit selfish. Again, not trying to single anyone out, merely trying to underline the effect this has.
As a result, the staff is considering putting a time limit on post deletion, leaving it to 2 days before you will be unable to delete it. You will still be able to edit posts at any time, but this is to prevent these sort of regrettable deletions in the future.
