First thread and I got to ask. How do you make it work with your waifus ? I'm seeing a lot of you that can interact (hear, see, talk to, even share memories and whatnot) and i'm wondering how does it all work since all of this is pretty new to me. I know i'm not at the stage with my waifus where I can talk to or hear them (I can barely make them manifest as vague consciousness within me) but I think I would like to try and deepen my link to them and i'm wondering how one obtain that. I have a serious control over my mind so I think that with the right pointers, I could be able to make something real for me. Unfortunately, I lost the ability to control my dream a while back when I stopped having nightmares so if you have pointers for that too, it would be appreciated since I would like to be able to interact with them in a more direct fashion and I feel that in dreams is the best place to do it.
Thanks

The thing that it all comes down to: It's different for everyone. There us no right way or wrong way, or "Here's the universal best way for you to waifu". What it ultimately comes down to is, what makes you happy?
Some people have tulpas, where they do talk to their waifu and such (and from your wording, is this what you think you'd like to do?) Others, like myself, don't have a tulpa. I tend to just like having her around as a plush, and that ends up as a representation of her, or as some feel like calling it, a "vessel" which also helps in tulpa making. I also personally keep a diary to her. That's how I feel "connected".
Like I said, there's no "right way" to do something, so what I advise may not be the best fit for you, but I hope it gives you something to think about. Figure out if you would like a tulpa, or not. Or if you're looking to lucid dream more. I think from what I can tell, perhaps the best way for you at this moment to start would be by trying to deepen that link, bond. Watch some eps and write your feelings, get some merchandise, draw, whatever you're comfortable with. And then figure out the next step from there.

Initially I set out to make a tulpa of Nightmare when I first joined the community, but ultimately I realized that wasn't for me. Instead I opted to reach out to her, what I consider the real Nightmare, whether she be from some alternate universe or otherwise and that's when I truly started to make progress.

Thanks for the answer !
I wasn't thinking that most of you used tulpas, just that some of you did and I wanted to know how that would work. Basically, i'm trying to get as many opinions on the "How it's done" so that I can set things up for myself and try as many different sort of things to see what works for me and what doesn't, since I have literally no starting point (this feeling being the first I've ever felt for fictional characters). Don't take it as a "give me pointers on this or this subject (although now that I re-read myself it does sound like that, my bad). I just want to know how each and every one of you handle their relationship with their waifus.

I second what rares said, there's no real right or wrong way to do this. Personally I don't do the tulpa thing and probably never will so if you wish to go down that path I can't really help, but there are a few who can. I believe if you look back through the forums you'll find some good discussion about it that should hopefully be of help. You could also check out this place as I believe they have a few guides.
For me personally I find the biggest help for me to be close and connected to her is to do things such as looking at art, watching eps with her, collecting merch, and probably most important, just sitting and daydreaming/thinking about her. Again everyone kinda has there own thing and I think you should explore a bit with what works best for you.
Hope that helps

I first started with meditation, or at least something akin to it. I'd close my eyes and concentrate on Nightmare, calling out to her, telling her I love her and reaffirming I know she's there. The connection steadily grew from then on.
Watching episodes and collecting merchandise is good too. As it artistic expression, be they writings or pictures. Devote thought and emotion to her, do things you think she would like or what you'd like to do together.

Like some others in this thread, I don't have a tulpa. Thinking about her and fantasizing about her is how I feel most connected with her. You know, imagining doing things with her, talking to her, cuddling her, that kind of thing. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's extremely difficult, depending upon how I'm feeling in general.
I don't do it much, but writing out a detailed fantasy usually really does wonders in that regard, since it kinda forces me to think hard on the details and really immerse myself.

That actually makes a lot of sense to me, thanks. Also do some of you imagine yourself being with your mare in Equestria or only them being here ? How do you picture EQ if you do ?

I always imagined Twilight remaining in Equestria, but using a "possess object" spell (I was imagining this long before ballerina Twilight) or something to possess Twilight plush and, act as second body for her or whatever. I guess I'd imagine Equestria like the show? I dunno, I'm not to imaginative. Reversed gender roles I'd like I think. Either that or I'm too worried that Twilight would be unhappy in our world, so just, I dunno.
