Are there any differences between your waifu and the canon version?

Pretty simple thread, just curious again.
Assuming that your waifu/lover is a 'canon' character, are there any major differences between your version of her and the version of her that is on the show that she is from?

Obviously since my lover is Bon Bon, who is a background character, there can be MANY differences but there are some that make her completely different from the show.

Well as far as I'm concerned, Nightmare as I know her (and by extension as you all know her) is the canon Nightmare as we see her in the show and comics, but obviously since then and the beginning of our relationship some things have changed.

-Her personality has...mellowed to an extent. She's still strong and assertive, obviously (a reason I love her) but she isn't really hellbent on conquest anymore. For the most part.
But she's also very supportive and cares for me as much as I do her.

-She no longer needs to "possess" anyone to have a physical form.

-She can alternate between her two main forms that we saw in the show/comics.

My Twilight's wings are larger. All wings are larger than they are in the show.
She's a metalhead, and will cuss in casual conversation. Not at all what I expected, to be completely honest.
She's a tad absent-minded about a lot of things. Very focused on her work, not so perceptive of her friends.
Twilight's still very amiable, though, and a good friend.
Her mane's a little darker.
Her voice is a tad different. I'm not sure how to explain how it's different, exactly, but it's a little different.
Twilight isn't excitable at all in the morning. You could practically tell her the world's ending and she won't flinch until she has some morning coffee.
She has armor, being a princess. She only wears it on occasions.
She's not an Element of Harmony. The Elements of Harmony, as far as I can tell, don't exist.
Our home is still the library. It's much larger on the inside.
For that matter, I'm not sure Tirek even exists either. Even the common changeling consumes magic, so Tirek's power is nothing original there.
Twilight's pretty adventurous in many different ways, from areas of knowledge to exploring the world. I suppose that's actually the same... but she's more curious and less 'we have to do this because x says so.'

I think that's enough of a list for Twilight, but before her, I was with Rarity, and before her, Roseluck.

Rarity's got a little bit of blue in her coat. She still looks white, but in the right light, you can see. It's very subtle, kind of like the pink in Princess Celestia's coat.
She snores like nobody's business. Like... wow, it's loud.
Some friends of mine do model work for her.
Spike still has his weird infatuation with older mares. It's somehow less awkward between them, though. Little more friendly, but you can tell how Spike really feels.
Rarity's six years older than Twilight, and three years older than me.
She's still vain and manipulative here or there, but nevertheless generous of possessions and in spirit. She's also something of a tease.
We actually met after I got a stallion who was berating Derpy to back off. She thought it was 'noble' of me to 'defend her so valiantly.' Really, I was just correcting the guy. He was being an ass.
Rarity might have a dangerous curiosity for dark magic.
She lives on her own.

Roseluck's kind of superstitious.
We met because I decided to trot over and start talking with her, because I thought she was cute. Which she is.
Botany is kind of a big deal in Equestria, since plants are used in everything from alchemy to cooking. She's a pretty smart mare when it comes to cultivating magical flowers. They're all magical, but some more-so.
Otherwise... she can be pretty silly. And, by silly, I mean stupid.
She's nice, though. And did I mention she's cute?

Before that, I was with another gal in my other wonderland, and had some on-off casual no-commitment flings with some others. Not gonna bring that up here, though.

Luna is actually quite a bit as I expected her to be in the Canon series, if not a bit more nurturing and loving. She is aware that she's made a horrific mistake in the past, although with our Wonderland version of Equestria she has been able to redeem herself quite nicely because of Icy.

Here, Luna takes all nightmares very seriously and if she finds too many in a given area she will investigate the region to make sure everything is okay. She actually spent a large amount of time in Trottingham a couple months ago because of this very reason. Naturally, she's a nocturnal mare for the most part, and she makes sure that those close to her are taken care of and are always her first priorities. She doesn't use the RCV that often here but we have heard her use it from time to time when the situation deemed necessary. One time in particular we remember was during the trial that occurred for Ice's father after he had been caught for all of the horrific things that he had don't both to her and her mother. Luna was not a happy mare that day, and we could tell that it took every ounce of her restraint to not shred him where he stood. I commend her on that because if I had that kind of power that she has, I would have offed him and been done with it...

Aside from that though, Luna here is pretty much just as she is in the show, regal, beautiful, and willing to do everything she can to win back the hearts of everypony from her mistake so long ago.

Angelbabe eats meat. It started with chicken nuggets; her "gateway meat." Now oven-fried chicken is one of her favorites. She tried ground turkey. She's enjoyed pork on a couple of occasions. Turns out she likes tuna and tilapia, but she doesn't want anything to do with anchovies, herring, or fishy fish in general. I've finally decided to give in about beef; specifically because pepperoni is often a mix of pork and beef. I see pepperoni pizza in that pony's future.

She's said many things that have never been and could never be uttered in the show lol.

Rainbow likes Led Zeppelin. Some Ozzy, Collective Soul, Tom Petty, Queen, and OK Go. Also, Spanish guitar. x ) She enjoys Yu-Gi-Oh! Both the series and the card game. Obviously these are simply things that she wouldn't have been exposed to back in Equestria.

She can pass through solid objects unharmed and otherwise unaffected; this will often involve the temporary appearance of a circular portal. I used to open the portals for her myself, but she's long since been utilizing them seemingly on her own. Sometimes, when she's out stretching her wings, she will suddenly zoom through the building; momentarily leaving behind her signature rainbow trail. I do believe her flying abilities (which were exceptional to begin with) have improved, and she's demonstrated maneuvers never before seen in-show.

It's hard to gauge exactly how much time Rainbow spent with Scoots in-show, but Angelbaby sees her adoptive sister every weekend for training and general hanging-out.

She'll occasionally adopt one of two manners of speaking that are either impressions or sort-of characters she does. One of them is her "princess" demeanor. That moment when Rainbow was imitating Rarity from "Sleepless in Ponyville?" Essentially sounds like that. x3 And she'll make ridiculous claims about how princesses act and live their lives. The other is her "drill sergeant" demeanor. Think Rainbow from "Hurricane Fluttershy" during the water transfer briefing. That one she does special for me. ; )

considering their world is very different, yeah:

She is currently 24, and she has been in ponyville 8 years now. she still came to the town in much the same manner as the show, although the events from then to now happened over a span of 8 years instead of 1.

Twilight is a bit more relaxed and casual than her canon self, especially now that she no longer in school. she is not as punctual and schedule obsessed, but she will still jot down checklists in her Lunos Tablet (a brand of tablet computer in Equestria) for important tasks. and still likes to be clean, but she isn't OCD about it.

She is not above cussing in casual conversation, and is very comfortable with discussing sexual topics, and she is not ashamed of it, and doesn't really understand why its such a taboo topic. even so, she wont discuss it in front of ponies who are particularly sensitive in those topics. she enjoys sex, and loves to act sexy.

she likes to have a drink every now and then, her favorite being Bourbon whiskey.

she does like meat, Especially chicken. unfortunately, non Sapient animals are much less common, (killing a Sapient species is classified as murder, throughout the world.) and meat is rationed year to year. (luckily, Akira, a plant which carries the same nutrients and tastes exactly like Beef was discovered, and most dishes which would have beef here, carry that. Fish and seafood are plentiful however. )

she likes tea, especially green , red, and lemon teas.

her favorite fruit is oranges

she likes rock music and classical, not so much heavy metal though.

she once had a relationship with Rainbow Dash, and she Identifies as Bisexual.

shes not a major car nut, but she does like her car, an '09 Shogun Star (525 hp 6.4 L 2- door v8 Sport Coupe in Midnight Blue), and sometimes wishes she still had her first car, a '73 of the same make and model. (390 hp, 6.4L two door, in Ocean Blue Metallic) . she does have some knowledge on cars.

she is however, a Motorcycle fan, and has an '82 Venture Terra 750s four cylinder that she rides Regularly (kinda resembles an '82 Yamaha 750)

her library is much larger than in canon, and has living quarters below the main library, although her master bedroom is still in the upper level, above the library. it has 3 more and 3 bathrooms below. the tree section is made of fiberglass and steel, made by a famous artist, decorated with fake leaves. she even has pictures from when it was built, including one signed by the artist herself.

Trixie Lullamoon is a distant cousin, and twilight has many relatives from the nation of Alcatel, like Trixie herself.

she is a royal advisor to the princesses, as well as assisting Celestia in the speeches she makes. (not that she really needs that much help, but celestia does like having an assistant in that department)

she is still a unicorn, Alicorns are genetic (1 in 25,000 births), not made by magic.

she does have an assisstant, as of last year, but its not Spike, he moved out a few years ago and lives with his girlfriend, Barb Monssori, a female Dragon. Twilight did not hatch him herself, but did raise Spike since he was young.

her assisstant is named Golden Dawn, a dark haired off-white coated earth pony, Sister to Golden Harvest, who is Applejacks cousin.

she wears clothes almost all the time. in this world, all sapient species wear them all the time, and many places do not allow public nudity.

My Pinkie isn't as hyper as the Pinkie in the show. She gets excited a lot, but not quite on the same level.

Also, her voice isn't as high as it is in the show. It's still somewhat high pitched, but it doesn't fluctuate the same way.

She's also a lot more well spoken, I honestly wasn't expecting her to be as well spoken as she is at all.

I'm sure there's other stuff but I can't think of them right now.

well we have seen numerous differences between your bonnie and the one in the show. i can say the 2 are different.

as for me...
the luna and tia i know are much the same as cannon, with a few things not known to the cannon. for instance our luna has been experimenting watchin spooky shows of late, maybe i can convert her to a love of spooky things and scifi if she decides she likes them lol.
that said both girl actually can be silly and playful as if they were fillies again when they let their hair down as it were.

lets just say that deep down i can see, underneath the training to br prim and regal as princesses... i can see 2 wonderful hearts in there.
