I just realized we didn't have one of these threads.

Recently, I've been very eager to get into more anime but I really don't know where to start.
At the moment, the only animes I have watched are Bleach and Deathnote

I have a list of new animes I want to watch but I just don't know where to start
It's got animes like Toradora!, K-on, AoT, Kill La Kill, basically every anime you can think of
Do you guys have any animes to suggest? I will post the list below when I get my PC working.

Also, this is a circle jerk of anime talk, so go crazy.

After they saved Rukia from the Soul Society it went down hill for me.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer!



Devil gets chase off his world, and loses a bit of his powers. The Devil have to get a part time job, at version of McDonald's. It's comicality, but not where it drive it off to be one of those anime that tires to so hard to be funny. A human girl, who is young high school girl and naïve, falls in love with the Devil, while a demon and a "hero" tries to kill the Devil, as the Devil just try to live a "normal" life.

Oh, it's not violent, except that one scene, in the first episode, as they explain how cruel is the Devil and his army taking over his world.


Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet



This one is a unique one, it's about a young solider who uses a humanoid-shaped battle suit, to fight for humanity against "aliens" who threaten them from far away galaxy. Same first episode he gets suck into a wormhole as he holds off the aliens, for his fellow troops who are overwhelm and have to fall back. Doing so, the soldier gets pull into Earth alone, and where Earth is now a ocean-covered planet.

The same solider heard that Earth was a myth, of where his people came from, but found that Earth is real and their is still people who inhabit the plant... The only downside is, the humans don't have the same technology as he and his robot does. Basically he uses lasers and everyone else uses bullets. :D

Not as violent as you might think it could be with his gundam style robot, I mean he does help them against pirates, but the rest is him fitting in a place he doesn't belong.


My Little Monster



I will put this in MLP terms! :D

Imagine Twilight Sparkle just studying her flank off, no interested in making friends, (BIG SHOCKER I KNOW!) till she found this stallion who was about to drop out of high school. This stallion mistake Twilight to care about him, and starts a odd friendship with her. The stallion is like a outcast, who the other ponies avoid talking, looking, or even being near him, because of his demeanor. This stallion is unaware that his stare give off a glare that most folks are hesitate to get near him, or when he fights for something he believe is right, but overdo it. So the whole season is them slowly connecting, and making other friends... bascilly it's like a slide a life anime... it's just the stallion is a odd one. If you watch the first episode you will see what I mean. I enjoy it, very very much. ^ ^ Plus they have a chicken! :D

Soul Eater

I feel like Soul Eater is a good starter for beginners. It has a good four and half seasons, good characters, good storyline, there is a lot to go on about this anime, so I will let this AMV explain what it's... This is how I got interested of the show anyway. ^ ^

Lastly! But no longer in Netflix is Angel Beats!!



This anime is worth looking at, even if I have to buy you the manga and DVDs, because it's so good that you will feel good, feel sad, and most likely going to cry as you get draw into the characters development throughout the show. The plot! And no spoilers here guys, is everyone is dead, just dead and is in some kind of limbo of a high school where everyone is trying to fight off a "God" who feel like they have been cheated during the time they were all alive. Funny part they fight God's "Angel" with guns. Lol! It's truly a good anime, you will love all the characters, as they go on a crazy fun adventures. A great soundtrack, and I will bet you will love the intro song for the show, and like me and others alike will agree that this anime should have gone the extra mile for just being a great anime, but it ends just good enough to leave good feeling for most who watch the short one season series.

Be warn, you will laugh, you will smile, you will cry, and will hate me for letting you know this great anime.

Hmm, I recommend you watch the first episode, and if they interested you and Bon Bon (If you're planning to watch them with her later on), then I am glad you enjoy them. Remember! Everyone has different taste of anime, I just threw in these selected bunch because they aren't too... hmm, what's is the word... Not too bland? Not as common as other anime show? Well, you will have to see them yourself and maybe you can tell us how was it. XP Plus they're just one off season animes (Except Soul Eater).

Some of these anime I watched with Amena (Not Elfen Lied... that was a long time ago), and some of them she didn't care for, and had to pick something else that we both enjoy together. Amena enjoys Spice and Wolf and Black Butler. :P

Ugh, now to wait until I can get internet connected or to get these on DVD, assuming they are on DVD.

All of them, except Angel Beat are in Netflix for the time being. The ones I mention now on this post, may no longer be in Netflix, or are shows I have seen in the past, when I was a kid.

My friend and I watched the two M.D. Geist OVAs recently. That was one of the most incoherent things I've ever seen, but it was made up for by two things:
